Adelman, Charlotte

founding president of the Chicago Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners, first woman to be president of the North Suburban Bar Association, and president of the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois.

Charlotte is the co-author of The Midwestern Native Garden, Midwestern Native Shrubs & Trees, and Prairie Directory of North America. Co-authored with Bernard L. Schwartz,  The Midwestern Native Garden: Native Alternatives to Nonnative Flowers and Plants was the winner of the 2012 Helen Hull Award from the National Garden Clubs.
